A driver was injured over the weekend when her SUV struck a turkey in the community of Albertville.
The State Patrol reports that around 8:45 AM, a Mazda SUV was eastbound on I-94 when a wild turkey flew into the windshield of the vehicle.
Injured in the crash was the driver, 37-year-old Jennifer Kounsa of Waite Park. She sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.
The Albertville Fire Department and Allina Ambulance assisted State Troopers at the scene.
