A local man was injured Friday in a heavy equipment related accident in the community of Rockford.
The State Patrol reports that around 12:45 PM, a Caterpiller tractor was eastbound on Highway 55 when it rolled into the ditch near Mile Marker 164.
Injured in the crash was the operator, 29-year-old Nikolaus Gibb of Waverly. He sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at the Maple Grove Hospital.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office and Allina Ambulance assisted at the crash scene.
