Maple Lake 3, New Ulm 2. The Irish got their season off to an exciting start, winning the final set 15-7 to take home the win.
Rockford 3, Maranatha 2. The Rockets also opened up the season with a close win, outscoring the Mustangs 15-11 in the final set.
Alex 3, Monticello 0. The Cards outscored the Magic, 75-46 in the sweep.
Waconia 3, STMA 0. The Wildcats were impressive, winning 25-20, 25-17, and 25-9.

Monticello 3, Brainerd 2. Caleb Vagle scored the game winning goal and scored twice in the Magic win.
Delano 5, Faribault 0. Niko Moore scored twice, giving him five goals in two games for the Tigers.

Delano came in second to Mound by three points at their invite.

Edina 5, Buffalo 2. The the defending champs from Edina pulled away from the home team from Buffalo on Tuesday night. Caden Nissen scored both Bison goals.
Maple Grove 3, STMA 1. Femi Omotayo scored the lone goal for the Knights in the loss.
Girls Soccer
Edina 7, Buffalo 1. Courtney Kotish scored early in the second half, giving the Bison a 1-0 lead, but Edina erupted for four goals in six minutes, and ran away from the Bison in the second half for a 7-1 road win on Tuesday night. Thompson scored four goals, and Piper Utne two in the Hornets victory.

Maple Lake 3, Litchfield 1. The Irish outpaced the Dragons, 94-85 in the four-set win.
Waconia 3, Delano 1. The Tigers won their first set of the season but dropped the final three as the Wildcats won the early season Wright County Conference matchup.
Holy Family 3, Rockford 0. The Fire won three close sets to take the win, 25-21, 28-26, and 25-18.
Rogers 3, Monticello 0. It was all Royals, as they outscored the Magic, 75-46 on the night.

Thursday, September 3rd.
Football.
Brainerd 38, Buffalo 32. The Bison blocked a fg as time expired sending the game into overtime, but on the first play of OT, the Warriors picked off a pass over the middle of the field, setting up a walk off touchdown as the Warriors won a thriller on Thursday night at Buffalo. QB Reiker Wignes, combined for 274 passing and rushing yards, while contributing three total touchdowns in the loss for Buffalo. Sr. WR Matthew Jordan hauled in seven passes for 136 yards and two TDs for the Bison.

Dassel-Cokato 27, Rockford 13. The Chargers jumped out to a 27-6 halftime lead, then cruised for there for the opening game win.
Howard Lake WW 27, Jordan 7. The Lakers got some revenge after losing twice to the Hubmen last year with an opening night road win.
Champlin Park 35, STMA 0. The Knights held the high scoring Rebels to seven points in the first half, but CP scored 28 in the second half to run away with the victory.
Menahga 42, Maple Lake 12. Last year the Irish ended a long losing streak with an opening game win vs. the Braves, but this year it was the Braves ending a fifteen-game losing streak with a big win at home.

Delano 2, Monticello 1. Isaac Quandt, and Jacob Barta rallied the Tigers to victory each scoring a second half goal as the Tigers came back from a 1-0 halftime deficit.

Sauk Rapids Rice 3, Annandale 1. The Cards won the first set, but the Storm, stormed back to win the final three.
Minnetonka 3, STMA 2. The Knights stayed alive in the fourth set with a 25-22 win, but the Skippers won the final set, 15-10.
Wayzata 3, Buffalo 0. The Trojans roared to a 25-19, 25-14, 25-11 win on Thursday night.

Annandale 28, Little Falls 8. Rylan Horsch scored from 45 yards out to give the defending Class AAA Cards a 6-0, then ran back a pick six on the very next possession as the Cards opened the season with a road win at Little Falls.
Monticello 48, Sauk Rapids Rice 21. Cale Holthaus rushed for 142 yards, while Carson Deibele tossed three td’s as the Magic rolled to an opening night win over the Storm. Johnny Moore caught two of Deibele’s TDs for Monticello.

Delano 35, Detroit Lakes 6. Grant Bruett threw for 147 yards and rushed for 85 yards, and also tossed two TD’s, while Bryce Beyer rushed for 112 yards and two TDs in the Tigers win.
