Friday, October 2nd.
Football.
Annandale 14, Holy Family 13. In a battle of Top 5 AAA teams, the game lived up to the hype. Jr. RB Colton Henson scored two TD’s rushing and then scored the two-point conversion in OT to walk off the Fire on Friday night as the Cards #1AAA knocked off the Fire #4AAA on homecoming. Jr. LB Caden Green had a big night on defense with seven tackles and an interception for the Cards.
STMA 28, Edina 16. The Knights broke the game open with a twenty-one point second quarter on their way to their first win of the season. Braylon Bohm rushed for two TDs from 64, and 50 yards, and Kyan Beaumont returned an interception 77 yards for a TD in the Knights Road win.
Maple Lake 8, Belgrade BE 7. The Irish won their homecoming game on a safety in the fourth quarter! Michael Kubian tackled a Jaguars player in the end zone in the fourth giving the Irish an 8-7, and they hung on from there. Alex Pauman scored the lone touchdown of the game for the Irish.
Dassel-Cokato 40, Morris 25. Elijah Torola had his second straight big game against Morris in the last two seasons. Torola rushed for over 300 yards in the Chargers win last season and then had 132 yards and two TDs in the Chargers win over Morris on Friday night.
Monticello 41, Buffalo 0. The Magic got off to a quick start on Friday as Santiago Silva Vargas intercepted a pass, which led to a Carson Deibele to Jeron Schlangen TD and the route was on for the Magic. The Magic intercepted the Bison three times on the night, and RB Cale Holthaus rushed for two TDs as Monti won on the road against their rivals.

Marshall 21, Delano 7. Marshall limited Delano to 172 total yards in their home win on Friday. So. Dacarri Lowery was a bright spot for Delano with 12 tackles on defense.
Howard Lake WW 31, Litchfield 28. The Lakers held off the Dragons on Friday night, improving to 4-1 on the season.
Glencoe SL 34, Rockford 33.
Saturday, October 3rd.
Boys Soccer.
Buffalo 2, Armstrong 1. Owen Seestrom and Cade Nissen scored the two Bison goals in their win over the Falcons.
STMA 7, Elk River 1.
Monticello 3, Mound 2.
Eagle Ridge 6, Rockford/HLWW 3.
Girls Soccer.
STMA 5, Elk River 0.
Volleyball.
Maple Lake went 3-1 at the Mora invite. After losing to Rush City in their first match, the Irish won three straight over Carlton, Mora and Barnum.
STMA went 1-1 at the “Dig Pink” tournament at BSM.
Monday, October 6th.
Girls Tennis Sections.
Monticello advanced to Tuesday in their Section with a tight 4-3 win over Brainerd. Picking up wins for Monticello were Molly Huberty, Bridget Huberty and the doubles teams of Layla Cheney/Lyla Tice and Jayden Larson/Autumn Montgomery.

Section 8AAA.
Buffalo started off strong with a 6-1 win over Moorhead but then saw their season come to an end with a 6-1 loss to Alexandria.
Boys Soccer.
Buffalo 5, Alex 2. Stone Hoel scored three goals in the Bison home win over Alex.

Monticello 7, St. Francis 0. Garcia Silva netted a hat trick, and Matteus Sundine scored two goals in the Magic rout.
Girls Soccer.
Monticello 4, St. Francis 1. Kaydon Kouril scored all four Magic goals in their win over the Saints.
Girls Volleyball.
Buffalo 3, Coon Rapids 0. The Bison swept the Cards on the road, 25-17, 25-19 and 25-11.
Delano 3, Mound 0. The Tigers rolled over Mound, outscoring them 75-39 over three sets.
Tuesday, October 6th.
Girls Volleyball.
Annandale 3, Rockford 0. The Cards rolled at home, 25-6, 25-12 and 25-15. So. Clara Uecker dominated at the net, while Jacie Lee and Hailey Jenniges led the way serving as the Cards were dominant from start to finish. For Rockford, the inside duo of 5’8 OH Taylor Morter and 5’10 MH Allison Vergin had nice games for the Rockets.

Delano 3, Hutch 1. After Hutch shocked the Tigers in the second set, 25-21 to tie it at 1-1, #4AAA Delano took over from their, winning the final two sets, 25-15 and 25-5.
Princeton 3, Monticello 0. The Tigers swept the Magic at home, 25-17, 25-16, and 25-20.
Alex 3, STMA 0. The Cards outscored the Knights 75-60 on the night.
