Wright County Seeking to Hire Election Judges for Coming Election Season

Wright County has announced that they are looking to hire election judges to serve as temporary absentee voting clerks, and absentee ballot board members for the upcoming election season.

These positions play a vital role in administering the 2026 Primary Election and the 2026 General Election. The county is hiring staff for both elections with an anticipated start day in late June.

Individuals who are detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to public service are encouraged to apply. No prior election experience is required; training will be provided.

Absentee voting clerks assist with a variety of important tasks, including processing absentee ballot applications, helping voters understand voting procedures, issuing ballots, and ensuring that all materials are handled accurately and in compliance with election laws. Clerks also support in-person absentee voting by working in the Wright County Early Voting Center. Absentee Ballot Board clerks will assist with the ballot board process.

Election workers are essential to maintaining public trust in elections, and absentee clerks are on the front lines of that effort. This temporary role offers a unique opportunity to serve the community.
