Wright County Sheriff’s Office, MEADA and Public Health to Host Drug Take Back Day

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Wright County Public Health, and MEADA, the Mentorship, Education, and Drug Awareness coalition will be hosting their annual prescription drug Take Back Day later this month.

Saturday, October 25th, the Take Back Day event will be held at two locations, Coborn’s in Albertville (5698 La Centre Avenue), and the Citizens State Bank in Montrose (145 Nelson Blvd.) from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Those dropping off unwanted prescriptions are asked to keep the medication in the original container and peel off the label, or black-out identifying information. If the original container is unavailable, seal the medication in a resealable plastic bag. Vaping cartridges will also be accepted if the battery is removed. No liquids will be accepted.

The free event is designed to be a convenient way for residents to remove the risk of unused medications from cupboards, cabinets and drawers to protect family, friends and pets.
