Wright County’s jobless rate was up in the month of June according to new statistics from DEED, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
The new non-seasonally adjusted unemployment in Wright County for June was 4.6 percent, up from 3.8 percent in May. The 4.6 percent rate is also up from the 3.8 percent in June of 2025. 94 fewer people were listed as employed in our area in June, but perhaps the bigger factor for the jump in unemployment was the increase of nearly 600 workers in the available labor force.
Minnesota’s seasonally adjusted jobless rate in June was 4.4 percent, unchanged from May, but up from the 3.8 percent statewide unemployment rate in June of last year.
The U-S seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in June was 4.2 percent, down a tenth of a point from May, and just a tenth of a point higher than the 4.1 percent national rate in May of 2025.
