Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association will host its 89th Annual Meeting today (Thursday) at its Rockford headquarters. Co-op officials say this year’s theme is “The Power of Membership.”
Registration begins at 4 PM, with the annual complimentary pork chop dinner beginning at 4:30 PM. Other fun events will include bingo, informational booths, and a children’s activity room for ages 4 to 10.
The annual business meeting will begin at 7 PM, and will include a financial report, updates from various leaders, and the results of the Board of Directors elections for Districts 2, 5 and 7. A grand prize drawing for a 2015 Ford F-150 4 by 4 pickup retired from the Wright-Hennepin fleet will follow the meeting. Members must be present to win. All registered members in attendance will receive a free pound of butter at the end of the meeting.
Officials say there will be very limited parking at the Wright-Hennepin headquarters. Overflow lots are available at the Rockford Mall, Our Father’s Lutheran Church and the Rockford Industrial Park. Free shuttles will be available for transport to and from the event.
