Boys Hockey
Buffalo 6, Delano 3. Brandon Rodenwald continued his hot start and so did the Bison in their home win over Delano. Russell Ylitalo added two goals in the win for Buffalo. On the season the Bison are 3-0 and have outscored their first three opponents, 28-5. Daniel Halonen led the Tigers with two goals and an assist.
Forest Lake 3, STMA 0.
Litchfield DC 3, Marshall 1. Anton Haataja scored both of his goals in the third period and that was the difference in the Dragons win.
Girls Hockey
Delano 3, Two Rivers 1. Violet Fobbe scored the go-ahead goal in the third period and Avery Thompson clinched it late in the third as the Tigers got past Two Rivers on Saturday.
Girls Basketball
Hill Murray 86, Delano 84. The Tigers might be 1-3, but they are legit! Although they came up just short against the highly ranked Pioneers, Delano has proven they can play with the best in the state! Abbie Pietila scored 33 points with 8 rebounds and 3 assists to lead Delano, while Addie Iverson netted 25 points with 5 rebounds and two assist for Delano.
Monticello 84, Chanhassen 81. Samantha Voll led the Magic with 34 points, 9 boards and 3 assist, to lift the Magic over the Storm in overtime on Saturday.
STMA 87, Lakeville South 63. Cail Jahnke hit seven threes and scored 39 points as the Knights rallied from four down at the half to run away with the game in the second half on Saturday, outscoring Lakeville South, 46-18.

Tuesday, December 2nd.
Boys Basketball.
Buffalo 83, Cambridge-I 51. Sophomore’s Eli Hegle (34 points) and Thomas Jordan (22) led the Bison to an opening night win at Cambridge on Tuesday.
Monticello 78, STMA 56. Carson Deibele was the high scorer once again for the Magic with 23 points, and four others scored in double figures in the Magic win over the Knights. Sekou Fofanu led the Knights with 16 points.
Delano 67, Chisago Lakes 54. Vinny Lucarelli scored 20 in the Tigers season opening win.
Girls Basketball.
Buffalo 63, Cambridge I 40. Brianna Eggers with 16 points and Avery Bjorkland with 14, lifted the Bison to their first win of the season on Tuesday night. With the win the Bison are now 1-4.
Girls Hockey.
Minnetonka 5, Buffalo 1. The Bison gave the #3AA Skippers a scare before Minnetonka pulled away. Addy Guck scored the tying goal late in the first period for Buffalo and it was tied at one after one. The Skippers didn’t take the lead until there was only three minutes left in the second period but pulled away in the third. The Skippers outshot the Bison on the night, 56-8.

Chanhassen 3, Delano 2. The Storm scored three goals in the second period and held off the Tigers on Tuesday night. Kaelyn Wittwer and Avery Thompson scored the Tigers goals.
Wayzata 3, North Wright County 2. Vanessa Swensson scored the game winning goal in the third period as the Trojans held off the Riverhawk’s on Tuesday night. Alivia Bame, and Charlotte Heckendorf scored the NWC goals.
Holy Family 9, Litchfield DC 0.

Monticello 6, Pine City 1. Liam O’ Donnell and Brady McGriff each scored two goals and added an assist in the Moose win.

#1AAA STMA 47, #1AA Simley 9. It was no contest as the two #1 ranked teams in the state and traditional powerhouses met in St. Michael on Thursday night. The Knights came in with 11 wrestlers ranked in the Top ten in the state, while Simley had 9. Below is are the results.

Moorhead 8, STMA 2. Owen Verness scored in the first and Caden Clark tied it in the second and the Knights were tied with the defending state champs and the #1 ranked team in the state after two periods, unfortunately there are three periods in hockey. The Spuds scored six goals in the the third and rolled over the Knights on Thursday.
Rogers 4, Buffalo 1. Cooper Dalbec scored in the second period to tie the game for Buffalo, but #13AAA Rogers scored three unanswered goals and pulled away from Buffalo for the home win.
Chisago Lakes 3, Monticello 0. The Wildcats won a defensive battle on Thursday night, as the teams combined for only 21 shots on goal.
Breck 7, Litchfield DC 3. Mika Lasanan scored a goal and added an assist in the loss for the Dragons.
Delano 3, Providence 2.

Buffalo 3, Elk River 2. All five goals in the game were scored in the third period in this one. Bridgette Kotish gave the Bison a 1-0 lead in the third, and after the Elks tied it, Violet Huddy scored the game winner for Buffalo. Hannah Rosso netted the insurance goal for Buffalo.

Delano 62, Brainerd 46. Cassie Wegman led all scorers with 20 for Delano.

Howard Lake WW 82, Eden Valley Watkins 60. Alex Stueven led the Lakers with 22 points, while Zach Murphy poured in 21 in the Lakers win. Murphy is avg. 22 ppg over two games as the Lakers are off to a 2-0 start.
