Early Voting for August Primary Continues

Early voting for Minnesota’s August 11th primary is underway.

“Minnesotans have three options for how to vote. They can vote by mail, vote early in person, and vote on Election Day at a designated local polling place. Now is the time for voters to make their plan to vote.”

Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon says absentee voters don’t have to wonder whether their ballots reached election officials. He says the state offers an easy way to follow your ballot every step of the way…

“You can also track ballots at MNVotes.gov once you mail it back. You don’t have to just pop it in the mail, say a prayer and hope it gets there. You can track it like an Amazon or a UPS package, and you can know precisely when it’s been received by your local election office.”

Here in Wright County, voters may request an absentee ballot by contacting Wright County Elections directly or by completing the online request form found at www.mnvotes.gov. Voters are also able to visit the Wright County Government Center where they can cast an in-person absentee ballot.

Please visit the Wright County Elections on the first floor of the Wright County Government Center to cast your in-person absentee ballot. The Government Center is open to serve voters from 8 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

In addition to normal business hours, Wright County Elections will be open to in-person absentee voters on Saturday, August 8th from 9 AM to 3 PM, and Monday, August 10th from 8 AM to 5 PM, as well as being open later on select weekday dates.
