The 87th Annual Meeting of the Wright-Hennepin Cooperative Electric Association will be held tonight (Thursday) at the co-op’s Rockford headquarters.
“Delivering Through the Energy Transition” will be the theme this year’s gathering.
Registration begins at 4 PM with a complimentary pork chop dinner from 4:30 to 6:45 PM.

Visitors can enjoy many informational booths, along with plenty of activities for all ages, including bingo. The local FFA chapter will provide activities and crafts for children ages 4 to 10 from 4:30 to 8 PM. Children can also register to win one of four bicycles to be given away.
The business meeting will begin at 7 PM featuring a financial report, leadership reports and the results of the Board of Directors elections for Districts 1,3 and 9. The grand prize drawing of a 2012 Ford F-150 retired from the cooperative’s fleet will immediately follow the business meeting. Members are automatically registered for the grand prize give-away. The winning member must be present to claim their prize. All registered members in attendance will receive a free pound of butter following the conclusion of the business meeting.
Free parking is available at the Wright-Hennepin headquarters. Shuttles to and from the Rockford Mall, Our Father’s Lutheran Church and the Industrial Park will also be available for those who park off-site.
Members can also elect to watch from home via a livestream available at; https://vimeo.com/event/3971144. Livestream viewers may enter to win one of two 50-dollar electric bill credits. Entry instructions will be provided during the livestream.
