The first of two volunteer training sessions for Buffalo’s Bison Fishing Forever organization will be held Monday (April 22nd) at the Buffalo Community Center.

Bison Fishing Forever is a program that utilizes a specially-made pontoon boat to take guests for free boating and fishing excursions on Lake Pulaski throughout the summer.

Teri Welter with the Buffalo Community Center says the program is particularly popular with seniors, veterans, the disabled and families with children. She says the program depends on volunteers to help captain the boat and assist guests. Anyone interested in donating time for helping with boat excursions needs official training.

Monday evening, April 22nd and the following Monday, April 29th, the training sessions will be held beginning at 6:30 PM at the Buffalo Community Center. For more information, contact the Community Center at (763) 682-6036.
