Smith Favors New Senate Veterans’ Health Benefits Bill

The US Senate is expected to pass a bill that would include some of the biggest improvements to veterans’ health benefits.

Senator Tina Smith calls the measure “…a bipartisan bill that will make sure that millions of veterans that were exposed to toxic burn pits in the Middle East or Agent Orange or radiation will be able to get the health care that they have earned without going through a bunch of red tape.”

Minnesota Senator Tina Smith says the bill also extends health care benefits to service members exposed to toxic substances while serving in the Marshall Islands.
