Saturday, April 11th:
Boys Volleyball
STMA won the Prior Lake Tournament, going 4-0. The Knights started the tournament with 2-0 sweeps over Southland, Austin and St. Cloud Tech, before defeating the host team Prior Lake, 2-1, winning by scores of 25-27, 25-23 and 15-8.
Boys Lacrosse
STMA 8, Woodbury 6. Carter Leland scored four goals and added an assist, while Colton McClellan stopped 10 of 16 shots in the Knights win.
Buffalo 13, Roseville 0. Parker Youngquist had five points with three goals and two assist and Maxwell Wurm picked up the shutout in the net for Buffalo.
Softball
Monticello 5, Buffalo 4. Paige Flanagan hit a double, scored the game winning run in the bottom of the seventh and also picked up the win in the circle for the Magic, while striking out six.
Howard Lake WW 13, Holy Family 8.
Baseball
Dassel-Cokato won its tournament by defeating East Grand Forks, 9-8 and Concordia Academy, 10-5. In the first game Alec Anderson homered for the Chargers as they walked off the Green Wave.
Monday, April 13th:
Baseball
Rockford 4, Annandale 3. Ethan Wilts tied the game with two outs in the bottom of the seventh with a base hit to right field for Rockford, then won the game for the Rockets with a walk off walk in the ninth inning. Wilts went 2-3, with all three RBI for the Rockets. Luke Lindquist struck out 13 in 8 innings for Annandale and went 2-4 at the plate.
Litchfield 12, Dassel-Cokato 11. The Dragons erased an 11-5 deficit with a six run sixth, then won the game with a run in the bottom of the seventh to stun the Chargers. Jaeden McKinnley went 4-4 at the plate for DC with 2 RBIs.
Buffalo 10, Washburn 8. Although offense won the game for the Bison, it was the last two shutout innings pitched by Tyler Kuehn then led the Bison to the win.
Softball
Dassel-Cokato 8, Litchfield 6. Emily Vacek, Britton Harrison, and Naomi Schmidt went a combined 8-11 with 6 RBIs as the Chargers held off the Dragons on Monday.
Rockford 4, Annandale 3.
Maple Lake 4, Royalton 2.
Edina 10, STMA 0.
Minnetonka 8, Buffalo 3.

Buffalo 13, Monticello 7. Thomas Munger netted six goals and added an assist as the Bison rolled to the victory at home. Garrett Bauer scored two goals and also had an assist in the loss for the Magic.
Tuesday, April 14th:
Girls Lacrosse
Buffalo 18, Monticello 0. Jasmine Jorgenson scored four goals, while Cali Weiche, and Addelita Nelson each scored three goals in the Bison blowout.

Cali Weiche, above, was one of three Bison players who scored three or more goals in the Bison win over Monti.

Delano 17, Mound 1. Drake Hawkins scored six goals in the Tigers romp over Mound.

STMA 3, Hopkins 0. The Knights outscored the Royals, 75-35 in their three-game sweep.

Delano 14, SW Christian 4. The Tigers have started the season, 3-0 and have outscored their opponents, 44-8.

Anoka 5, STMA 2. Emerson Brand doubled and drove in two runs in the loss for the Knights.

Track and Field
Both the Delano boys and girls took first place at the GSL meet on Tuesday. Oliver Beck won both the 800 and 1600 on the boy’s side.

Delano won the Hutch invite with a score of 312, five shots better than second place Hutch. Annandale finished fourth, while Dassel-Cokato was 5th.

Baseball
Buffalo 5, Maple Grove 0. Aiden Marconett pitched a complete game shutout, only allowing three hits in the Bison win. The Bison broke the game open with a four run fourth.

Mound/Orono/Delano 3, Lakeville South 1. MOD pulled away from Lakeville South, 25-21, 22-25, 25-13 and 25-17.
Thursday, April 16th.
Baseball.
Annandale 12-5, and 6-4 over Howard Lake WW. The Cards swept the Lakers in a double header on Thursday at Winsted. In the first game, Zach O’ Konek hit a three-run home run for the Cards, and Luke Lindquist a solo home run as Annandale mashed its way to a 12-5 win. Carter Ramsey went 2-5 with two doubles in four RBI’s as well for Annandale. In the second game the Cards rallied from a 4-1 deficit by scoring four runs in the final two innings. Noah Elam went 3-4 with a double and an RBI in the second game, while Carter Ramsey drove in two, while Luke Lindquist, and Cooper Broman each drove in one run. Carter Ramsey struck out the final six batters he faced to clinch the win for Annandale. Noah Gagner went 3-6 with a double and three RBIs in the two games for the Lakers.

Wayzata 3, STMA 2. Two of the top two teams in the state faced off on Thursday night, and it was the Knights who got of to the hot start, winning the first two sets, 25-22, and 26-24, but it was the Trojans who stormed back to take the victory, 25-23, 25-19 and 16-14.

Boys Lacrosse.
Delano 9, Orono 4. Delano outscored the Spartans, 5-1 in the final period to pull away to the victory. Both Drake Hawkins and Charlie Roers scored two goals in the final period, Hawkings finished the night with three goals for Delano.
