Wright County’s jobless rate dropped in the month of May according to new statistics from DEED, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
The new non-seasonally adjusted unemployment in Wright County for May was 3.8 percent, down from 4.1 percent in April. The new rate also marks the lowest jobless rate in our area so far this year. The 3.8 percent rate is six-tenths of a point higher than the 3.1 percent rate a year ago, and is up 1.2 percent from the same period in 2024.
Minnesota’s seasonally adjusted jobless rate in May was 4.4 percent, down a tenth of a point from April, but up from the 3.7 percent statewide unemployment rate in May of last year.
The U-S seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in May was 4.3 percent, unchanged both April and March, and just a tenth of a point higher than the 4.2 percent national rate in May of 2025.
