Federal Funding Bill Includes Millions of Dollars for Minnesota Projects

U-S Senator Tina Smith says Minnesota will soon be getting significant federal funding for some 100 local projects across the state…”Smaller communities just really don’t have the tax base to make millions and millions of dollars in improvements to wastewater and drinking systems, for example. So that’s where we come in to try and help make it work.”

Smith says some of the beauty of the programs is that they are developed at the local level...”Project after project, these are examples of us being able to bring federal tax dollars home to make improvements at the local level that our communities have been asking for. And it’s just great to be able to see this get done.”

The senator says Minnesota will secure well over 350 million dollars to fund projects.
