Highway 25 Reconstruction in Buffalo to Resume April 1st

Work on the Highway 25 reconstruction project in Buffalo is scheduled to resume on Monday.

Officials say Phase 2 of the project from Montrose Boulevard to Settlers Parkway, will be closed to traffic starting on Monday, April 1st.

When the road closure begins, crews will start removal of the existing pavement, sidewalk, and curb. Sanitary sewer and water improvements will also begin, and continue through the following weeks.

Montrose Boulevard will become the detour route for cars and other standard vehicles, while the truck detour route will be Highway 55 to Settlers Parkway. The intersections at Montrose Boulevard and the roundabout at Settlers Parkway will remain open throughout the remainder of the construction.

Access will be maintained for those who live, work or visit, but officials say motorists should stay alert for changes. The final phase of the project is scheduled to be completed by August 2024.

Also this summer, Wright County will construct a roundabout at Highway 25 and CSAH 83/35th Street NE in Buffalo. Highway 25 will close at the intersection and detour along CSAH 37, CSAH 12 and Highway 55.
