MN Cold Weather Protection Rule Ends Soon

Minnesotans struggling to pay heating bills accrued this past winter are encouraged to apply for heating assistance.

Michael Schmitz, director of the Office of Energy Assistance Programs at the State Department of Commerce, says funding is still available…”As the Cold Weather Rule is ending, folks might be getting notices of disconnect if they struggle to pay their bills. And we do encourage folks to apply for energy assistance.”

Minnesota’s Cold Weather protections end on April 30th.

Anyone with questions on energy assistance may contact Wright County Community Action in Maple Lake at (320) 963-6500.
