A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held Friday at the new Community Dental Care facility located at the Wright County Government Center in Buffalo.

Community Dental Care is a Minnesota Health Care Programs community clinic, established to provide dental services for underserved populations. The clinic will provide comprehensive dental care to people of all ages, mostly those on Medicaid and the uninsured.

As one of Minnesota’s largest non-profit dental providers, Community Dental Care has been working in partnership with Wright County and the Wright County Dental Access Workgroup to plan and raise funds to design, build, equip and staff a dental clinic to serve people of all ages and abilities in the region. Community Dental Care CEO Karen Kleinhans says the new dental facility will fill a great need in the area.

The state of Minnesota has dedicated $1.4 million in bond funds to cover the cost of constructing the clinic. Community Dental Care has raised an additional $1.1 million to cover the equipment and start-up costs, funded by generous donations from numerous organizations.

The new Community Dental Care clinic will begin to see patients on Monday, September 19th.
