A woman from Watertown was one of two people who were injured when an SUV collided with a passenger car early Wednesday morning in neighboring McLeod County.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports that around 7:30 AM, both vehicles were eastbound on Highway 7 when they collided near McLeod County Road 2.
Authorities say the driver of the Hyundai passenger car, 23-year-old Miranda Speed-Joiner of Watertown, sustained non-life threatening injuries, along with a passenger, 22-year-old Briana Titus of Shoreview. Both young women were taken to the Hutchinson Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Jeep SUV, 36-year-old Tara Strey of Hutchinson, was not injured.
The McLeod County Sheriff’s Office and the Silver Lake Fire Department responded to the scene of the collision.
