National Commander of the American Legion to Visit Howard Lake Tuesday

(American Legion National Commander – Daniel J. Seehafer)

The American Legion National Commander will attend a breakfast in Wright County Tuesday morning.

Commander Daniel. J. Seehafer will visit the Howard Lake American Legion Post 145 for a breakfast and presentation addressing issues of importance to Minnesota veterans.

The visit will be one of several stops in Minnesota prior to the national commander’s keynote speech on Wednesday at Veterans Day on the Hill at the State Capitol in St. Paul.

Commander Seehafer’s message is “Be the One,” a campaign to prevent veteran suicides.

Other main issues the American Legion is currently focused on are stopping veteran claim sharks, smooth implementation of the PACT, or Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxins Act, paying the Coast Guard during federal shutdowns, and passage of an amendment to protect the U-S flag from desecration.

Tuesday’s events at the Howard Lake American Legion are scheduled to begin at 8 AM.
