Monday, April 8th

Softball:

Sartell 5, Monticello 2. Josie Ordoff had a double and two hits in the Magic loss.

Baseball:

Monticello 12, Chisago Lakes 2. Tyson Visness went 3-3 with a triple and three RBI’s as the #4AA Magic rolled in their season opener.

Tyson Visness, above, had a perfect play at the plate for Monti on Monday.

Tuesday, April 9th

Baseball:

Dassel-Cokato 7, Annandale 4. Josh Massingham collected a triple and a double while knocking in a run in the Chargers opening day victory.

Southwest Christian 7, Howard Lake WW 1.

Softball:

Monticello 6, Buffalo 3. Hannah Storey hit a double and a triple in the Magic win over the Bison.

Buffalo, above, had some big hits against the Magic on Tuesday, but came up short on the scoreboard against their rivals from Monticello.

Dassel-Cokato 3, Hutch 2.

Delano 5, Chaska 0.

Wed., April 10th

Baseball:

Wayzata 7, STMA 0. The Knights were held to six hits in the loss. Drew Luster had the only extra base hit for the Knights with a double.

Hopkins 12, Buffalo 9. The Royals outslugged the Bison on opening day.

Thursday, April 11th

Baseball:

Rockford 11, Litchfield 1. Aiden Smith went 4-4 with two doubles and four RBI’s and also got the win on the mound for Rockford.

Aiden Smith, above, had a perfect day at the plate for the Rockets in their win on Thursday afternoon.

Monticello 15, Cambridge-Isanti 3. Brock Holthaus had two doubles and drove in five for the Magic.

New London Spicer 12, Dassel-Cokato 2.

Glencoe SL 1, Annandale 0.

Howard Lake WW 5, Watertown Mayer 4.

Softball:

Monticello 8, Cambridge Isanti 7.

Rockford 7, Litchfield 1.

Watertown Mayer 7, Howard Lake WW 3.

Delano 15, Jordan 0.

Hopkins 8, Buffalo 7. The Royals jumped out to a 6-0 lead, a big four run inning got the Bison back into it, but the Royals held off the Buffalo in the end for a big home win on Thursday.

Glencoe SL 7, Annandale 0.

Boys Tennis:

Monticello 7, Chisago Lakes 0. The Magic improved to 2-0, and have won all 14 sets to start the season. Winners in singles were, Ryan Schyma, Ethan Kuhn, William Kuhn and Matteus Sundine. In doubles, Wyatt Hanson/Hayden Miller, Caleb Kalnbach/Ryan Frierbrand, and Peyton Goyler/Michael Coalwell took home wins.

The Monticello Boys Tennis team, above, is off to a 2-0 start this season.

Friday, April 12th.

Boys Lacrosse.

Buffalo 12, Monticello 4. Owen Lange netted three goals and added two assist as the Bison knocked off there rivals on Friday night. Gunnar Simon scored two goals for the Magic in the loss.

Buffalo 5, Monticello 4. Bryn Dahlheimer stopped 13 of 18 shots in the Magic win over Buffalo.

Dassel-Cokato 10, Maple Lake 7. Ryan Raisanan hit a clutch two run single in the second and had three RBI’s in the Chargers win. Nathan Zander hit a grand slam and collected three hits for the Irish in the loss.

Minnetonka 15, STMA 11. CJ Splettstoesser went 3-3 at the plate with two doubles and six RBI’s in the Knights loss.

Blaine 7, STMA 6. The Bengals pushed across the game winning run in the 8th as they walked off the Knights on Friday afternoon. Anayah Gaston and Kendra Behrens homered for STMA in the loss.

Rogers 11, Buffalo 4. Amanda Barnacle hit a home run and drove in two for the Royals.

Boys Lacrosse.

STMA 18, Mounds View 13. Reme Lobitz scored six goals and had three assist in the Knights win on Saturday.

Reme Lobitz, above, totaled nine points on Saturday in the Knights win.

East Ridge 18, Buffalo 7. Charles Jerde netted three goals in the Bison loss.
